Pledge2Play LogoLittle Big Sports is delighted to have been announced as a key partner and supporter of Pledge 2 Play.

This fantastic initiative launched by Aly from Rainy Day Box Co and Jennifer from Skribbies encourages parents to put down the gadgets and spend time creatively indoors or outdoors with their children. In a world increasingly dominated by technology and with the pace of life forever speeding up, spending time with your children without interruption and without gadgetry is something that can be hard to come by. Pledge 2 Play is all about encouraging parents to redress this balance and make a conscious effort to interact as a family in a creative way on a regular basis, something we at Little Big Sports are passionate about.

So how does it work?

Simple really. All you need to do is commit to a regular time each day or week where you turn off all electronic devices (including your own!!) and engage with your children in a fun activity. This could be anything ranging from playing football outside, going on a scavenger hunt, baking, crafting or storytelling.

Set up to inspire creative play idea's there is a Pledge 2 Play facebook page facebook.com/pledge2play . We will also be posting active idea's for family time here on the Little Big Sports blog. We would love you to contribute to this so please get in touch if you would like to be involved.

Here's to redressing the balance between gadgetry and creativity. We're in!! Hope you are too!
