Today was a day to remember. With very little notice we heard the Olympic torch was coming to Tonbridge (a nearby town). It was not part of the official torch route but a static event at Tonbridge castle (incidentally where I was married!) campaigned for by our local double gold medal winning Olympian, Dame Kelly Holmes. People turned out in force and the atmosphere was great. Hearing from young athletes was unexpected but inspirational. The children were excited to be part of something 'special' and it really hit home that London 2012 is just round the corner. Bring on the games.....
