Girls' Teamwear Has Arrived!
If you've been following us for a while, you'll know that we've been on a mission to make sure girls have the equipment and clothing they need to play sport confidently, comfortably, and in gear that was actually made for them.
First came the We Are Girls In Sport pop-up shop; one destination for girls' sportswear and equipment, carefully curated so that clubs, parents and young athletes don't have to trawl the internet hoping something fits or works for a female body.
And now? We've taken the next big step.
We've launched Girls' Teamwear.
Teamwear That Actually Fits Girls
Here's something that shouldn't still be happening in 2025, but it is: girls turning up to represent their school or club in kit that was designed for boys. Oversized shirts. Ill-fitting trousers. Shorts that weren't cut for them. Colours that make periods a constant worry.
We've seen it ourselves. When Katie set up the girls' section at her local cricket club back in 2021, one of the first conversations was about kit. Girls shouldn't have to feel like an afterthought. They should feel proud, comfortable, and ready to perform.
That's what our new Girls' Teamwear proposition is all about.
The Brands Behind It
We've done the research so you don't have to. Our teamwear offering initially brings together three brilliant brands which are all female-fit, all performance-focused, all aligned with our values:
Maiden Cricket
Made specifically for girls who play cricket, Maiden Cricket's kit is a game-changer for clubs looking to kit out their girls' teams properly. Their Girls Mid On Cricket Top and Girls Test Match Trousers are designed with female bodies in mind, so girls can bat, bowl, field and score without their kit getting in the way. No more hand-me-down whites. No more hope-for-the-best sizing.
Hapola
Hapola's Skort in Navy is exactly the kind of kit that girls actually want to wear. Stylish enough that they'd choose it anyway and functional enough that it performs on the pitch. It's the skort/shorts conversation that's been playing out across women's sport for years, finally resolved with a piece of kit that gives girls both comfort and freedom of movement. Brilliant for cricket, hockey, netball and more.
Versatail
The Versatail Ponytail Cap is a cricket cap designed for girls who wear their hair in a ponytail. Purpose designed for women and girls by a Marie Kelly, a female professional cricketer, to enjoy a secure, comfortable fit that adapts to their style. This is what we mean when we talk about kit that was made for girls, not adapted from kit made for boys.
How It Works
We've made the teamwear process as straightforward as possible for clubs and schools:
- Fill in a short enquiry form — it takes less than two minutes
- We review your needs — checking teamwear options, sizing and availability
- You receive a quote within three working days
- Despatch will be directly to your club or school
Whether you're kitting out a girls' cricket XI, a school football team, or a grassroots hockey squad, get in touch and we'll help you find the right fit.
Why This Matters
The momentum behind girls' and women's sportswear is real. We've seen it in the headlines from the Lionesses changing to blue shorts, to Tess Howard's campaign that changed the rules in hockey, to the Camogie debate that showed just how strongly players feel about what they wear to compete.
Change is happening. But at grassroots level, clubs still need access to quality female-fit teamwear that they can brand with their badge and order in the right sizes.
Let's make sure girls step onto the pitch feeling like they belong there. Because they do.
