The GS5 Cricket Batting Net is made by Dimension Sport, the manufacturer of the Paceman Bowling Machine.
Secured to the ground using guy ropes and pegs, the frame of the GS5 is manufactured out of powder coated, shaped metal with a UV treated net. This spacious net measures 5m in length, 3m in width and 3m in height. A front curtain has been designed to capture forward shots.
Our best selling cricket net, the GS5 is ideal for cricketers of all levels to practice their shots without any windows being broken or balls flying over the fence.
Delivery is free of charge
GS5 is sold with a one year manufacturers warranty.
Please note the sleeves of the batting net are now blue in colour.
The net's ample in size and easy enough to put up / take down (we left ours up through the summer). The net itself is thick and strong so I can see it lasting and all the stitching seems of a high quality. We did have some bad luck with faulty poles but this was sorted with no quibbles and the service was superb. Visibility through the front is great so, basically, it does exactly what you need a cricket net to do and doesn't look too bad in the garden either!
Quite hard to put up but that’s mostly down to poor skills by us.Holds up to a hard ball and is very strong
Easyish to put up - if you've put up a big tunnel tent before it's the same principle. Probably took two of us about half an hour. Poles are sturdy, not bendy fibreglass and once up the whole thing seemed a bit taller than I'd been expecting. Despite that and most importantly though: no balls have been lost over the fence since its been up, compared to the record 3 in five minutes. Boys (8 & 12) have been properly slogging balls rather than having to try and tap them (usually unsuccessfully), and although they're not allowed hard ball in the garden, it's holding up against some hard hit tennis balls. Be prepared to move it around your garden if you have the space and don't want a trench run down your lawn.
